Description of Duties:

The Senior Facilities Project Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Oversee the project initiation to include the bid process, providing estimates, coordinating estimates from matrix resources, and coordinating with the proposal team for on-time delivery of a quality proposal

· Manage facility sustainment, renovation, and modernization projects throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope

· Assemble a project team with the necessary resources to meet project requirements and leads them to successful project completion

· Manage stakeholder communications and coordination

· Be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, as well as issue resolution

· Manage and report project financials using earned value management

· Build partnerships/relationships within the department, with external organizations, and the customer(s)

· Prepare reports for upper management and customers regarding status of projects

· Be responsible for understanding and handling change management impacts (e.g. negotiate schedules/time).

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

· Develop and maintain a project schedule

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

This position is expected to pay $123,000 - $148,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 16 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 10 years of general experience

· Must have at least 8 years of experience managing facility upgrade/renovation projects

· Must have at least 2 years of Earned Value Management experience

· Must have 5 years of experience in management or leadership roles

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Project

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one

Desired Requirements:

· Experience managing projects in a DoD environment

· Experience reading blueprints and design plans

· PMP certification
