Robert Half Application Support Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio

Description We are offering a role in the technology industry, specifically for an Application Support Engineer, based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for data engineering platforms and technologies, with a focus on DataBricks, Snowflake, and Matillion. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and assistance to customers using DataBricks, Snowflake, and Matillion platforms.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data pipelines, ETL processes, and data workflows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, data engineers, and DevOps engineers to address customer issues effectively.

• Document and maintain support procedures, knowledge base articles, and best practices for DataBricks, Snowflake, and Matillion.

• Act as a subject matter expert on data engineering technologies and platforms, providing guidance and training to internal teams and customers as needed.

• Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical issues.

• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Database, Microsoft, AB Testing, Active Directory, Application Support, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Data Replication, Snowflake, Azure Databricks, and Matillion. Requirements • Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or similar role for a minimum of 3 years

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, Database, Microsoft, AB Testing, Active Directory, Application Support, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Data Replication

• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, Azure Databricks, Matillion

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant certification in IT or related field is a plus

• Familiarity with modern operating systems and IT environments
