Air National Guard Units SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D1951000 and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required. Responsibilities This position is located in the Wyoming Air National Guard, 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, Materiel Management Flight, Customer Support Liaison Element, within the Customer Support Section. Responds to customer logistics concerns and proactively anticipates problems that could stand in the way of 153d Airlift Wing's units fulfilling mission requirements. Responsible for interfacing with Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC); conducts document control functions, demand processing, research and base level records maintenance, base level stock control functions, bench stock management, and customer feedback; troubleshoots all materiel management concerns; manages and issues SATS smart cards and manages the Zero Overpricing Program. Responsible for coordinating Base-Level Supply Customer Training as it pertains to Block training. Training is provided by the resident experts within the specific elements. Requirements Conditions of Employment KEY REQUIREMENTS: Primary consideration will be given to current WY ANG military members. If required, additional areas of consideration certificates may be released to hiring managers. If selectee is not a WY ANG member, must become a member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. Must submit vMPF Rip with application. Must possess at least the minimum ASVAB score listed for Qualification. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a T3/SECRET security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. Indefinite position may convert to Perm if funding/position is available. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician. Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). Indefinite employees may be terminated or displaced at management's discretion with a 30-day written notice. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience with governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts. Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2S0X1, Material Management. Enlisted 2S0X1 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "41" on the Administrative portion OR "44" on the General portion of the ASVAB. Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333333. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license. TENURE: GROUP III - INDEFINITE Purpose: To fill a position that may last for more than 1 year where the need for an employee's services is not permanent or management expects the position to potentially become permanent (career or career-conditional) at some time in the future. An employee with statutory reemployment rights (USERRA) is protected for five years.
