Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Field Engineer for a Direct hire role with a client in Charleston, WV. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Responsibility includes performing installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment.

Responsibilities:

  * Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design and repair of Power Delivery equipment in respective area; Power Delivery includes transformers, switchgear, OCBs, Circuit Breakers, busways, UPS, ATS, PLCs, Relays, Power Management Controls systems and other Power related equipment & controls.

  * Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet, and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis.

  * Ability to build strong customer relationships

  * Maintain knowledge of and conduct work activities in compliance with all safety policies

  * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision

  * Demonstrated interpersonal skills

  * Customer service oriented

  * Strong Computer skills to include Outlook, Excel, and Word

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field OR relevant work experience in a related environment and High School Diploma

    * Hands on experience in the field working to repair power distribution systems to include Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers. Experience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers

     OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays, and Schweitzer Relays

    * Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% as required.

Strong Computer skills to include Outlook, Excel, and Word PLC experience is a plus null
