· TheRecords Supervisor will manage and direct the work effort for a paper and electronic records program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

· Supervise team members working in positionscharacterized by highly transactional and repetitive processes

· Monitor time and efficiency to effectively establish, and maintain daily productivity.

· Perform quality control reviews of the work performed, condition of paper and electronic record keeping systems and develop process improvement as required.

· Monitor time and efficiency to effectively establish, and maintain daily productivity.

· Contribute to the development of processes and procedures.

· Organize and direct shelf-reading and other quality reviews and in electronic record keeping systems

· Deal directly with staff and supervisors as the first line contact for the resolution of difficulties and records issues

· Ascertain and report special needs, issues, and difficulties to management.

· Provide training and guidance to staff, and new team members as necessary.

· Perform and direct complex assignments that require a moderate level of planning and organization

· Work directly with staff to obtain determination of final disposition of information

Non-Essential Duties:

· Execute special projects for management and COR or other government records staff with respect to special collections of records, their organization, identification, use, and tracking;

· Conduct research as necessary and screen all file requestors to ensure that they are employees.

· Other duties as assigned to support business needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Plan, organize, direct and guide the activities of team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Chenega policies and applicable laws. Manage team member timecards, performance evaluations and participate in the hiring and termination process.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred not required.

· 2 years of experience supervising records clerks or other office clerks.

o Discuss and resolve operational problems with professional staff;

o Plan, organize, and direct projects involving the efforts of several subordinates

· Must possess a valid driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Demonstrated excellent verbal and written English communications skills with the ability to correspond with professional staff.

· Ability to read and understand complex sets of procedures and other documentation.

· Demonstrated ability to deal simultaneously and calmly with several crises; to determine the relative importance of each; to recognize important users of the service and to accord to them priority attention; to discern the true nature of problems from imprecise descriptions; and to refer problems to the proper individuals for resolution

· An ability to lift standard FRC boxes, weighing 30 pounds numerous times during a day.

· Ability to work individually, in teams, and interact tactfully with Government staff.

· Ability to communicate fluently in English and understand and follow procedures.

· Ability to travel.
