Aerotek Aerospace Quality Inspector in Chandler, Arizona

Hello Job Seekers,

We are currently seeking experienced Quality Control Inspectors from the Aerospace field for one of our Aerospace Manufacturing Facilities.

  • $20-$26/hour

Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday

Description:

The Quality Inspector performs various receiving inspections, in-process inspections, verification of completed paperwork, identifying non-conformance issues, final product inspection and checking dimensions of production detail parts and assemblies using hand tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers and height gauge.

  • Follow all established quality management system procedures and work instructions.

  • Ensure procedures and work instructions are followed, resolving quality related issues with internal or external customers.

  • Perform receiving, 1st piece checks, in process, and final inspection, as required.

  • Generate required reports, perform verifications, tracking of data and recommendation of process improvements

  • Verify incoming product to ensure purchase orders and customer requirements are met.

  • Verify assemblies meet all customer requirements.

  • Ensure that instruments used for product acceptance are in calibration prior to use.

  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances per established procedures.

  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.

  • Create manufacturing and distribution PPAP submissions per customer requirements

  • Create AS9102 cert packages for FAIRs, when required.

  • Create a Detailed Inspection Plan using designated software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand customer specifications and requirements.

  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances as well as blue print reading. (GD&T) (REQUIRED)

  • Skilled using measuring equipment, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, hand tools, Rulers, Pin Gages, Radius Gages, Comparator,

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102 - AS9102 REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of FAI’s, DIP’s, and Net Inspect.

  • Strong computer skills is a MUST! Microsoft office, Excel, Advanced PDF software, Word.

  • Capable of communicating clearly and professionally by telephone, email or in person.

  • High School Diploma or GED required
