Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to execute high-profile self-perform, complex environmental construction projects. We are looking for a strong leader to join our team; one that inspires loyalty and commitment, with a strong safety focus and proven success with environmental construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Must be willing to travel to project sites

  • Direct the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.

  • Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for defined scope and schedule. Ensure that the services of subcontractors and major construction equipment required by the project will be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

  • Assist with procurement of equipment and materials required for successful completion of the project. Including locating local resources and support in negotiations of specific agreements.

  • Establish assignments for Construction Superintendents for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.

  • Manage the assignment of manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Identify possible problem areas and take preventative action to ensure critical milestones are cost-effectively met for each phase of the project.

  • Ensure the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.

  • Work within the terms and conditions of construction agreements. Assist with the preparation of periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for management and clients. Support the preparation and processing of relevant construction documentation including construction directives, change orders, and RFIs.

  • Ensure effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.

  • Serve as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities.

  • Candidate must also implement behavior-based safety tools to strive for incident free operations (no personal injuries, property damage or environmental releases) for both the Client and Parsons.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience), and typically 15+ years of experience in field construction is required.

  • Must have direct experience executing multi-faceted environmental remedial construction projects

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $227,900.00
