Trinity Health Pharmacy Technician II in Byron Center, Michigan

Description:

High school education or equivalent.

  • Preferred Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program; or two years of college with emphasis in math, science, or medical field applications.

  • Credentials/Licensure Minimum Fully licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan. Prepares, packages, and distributes medication orders per physician/pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols. (PTCB certification perferred)

  • Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.

  • Contributes to effective and quality operation of the department.

  • Maintains logs, records, and other required documentation; files documentation; answers telephone and pneumatic tube; and handles cash transactions.

  • Processes medication charges and credits according to established policy.

  • Basic pharmacy computer order entry.

  • Basic customer service and telephone skills.

Trinity Health Pharmacy - Byron Center is open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm, closed for lunch daily 12:30pm-1:00pm. This position will be five 8-hour shifts.
