Laborer-Mercer County Highway Department

We are seeking dedicated persons to join our Road Department team during the summer. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for various tasks related to construction and maintenance projects. If you have experience in operating equipment (or willing to learn) and enjoy working outdoors, we encourage you to apply.

This is a great opportunity for students who are at least 18 years of age. Must have a valid North Dakota driver's license.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of tasks for Mercer County Highway Department

• Operate lawn mower, where needed

• Assist in the setup and cleanup of work sites

• Ability to perform light physical work and carry up to 75 pounds.

• Ability to be exposed to extremes of weather.

• Must be able to stand walk on varying surfaces for extended period of time.

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure project completion in a timely manner

Experience:

• Prior experience in equipment operation is preferred but willing to train.

• Must be willing to learn construction skills on site. .

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
