The Role

You’re a UX designer who loves to learn, solve challenges, and dream up breakthrough ideas. You've worked on multiple similar projects already, and you're looking for a new adventure. You’re a tireless advocate for the customer — enthusiastic about building and iterating on designs to discover what works best and applying your knowledge to create incredible software products. You're passionate about your interests, and you want to work on projects that will change the world for the better.

You're fluent at communicating with product managers and developers, bringing your team together to simplify, integrate, and co-create successful customer experiences. You’re also comfortable working with others to build alignment on what we want as a team, what customers need and how we’ll build a solution that will help make Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing a product that customers love.

You’ll work in a focused team collaborating with interaction designers, content designers, user experience researchers, data scientists, producers and design leads. The role’s broad scope will give you ample room to flex your design muscles — both on projects that have immediate impact on our Microsoft cloud business as well as explorations that shape our long-term strategy, vision and UX direction of its products.

Responsibilities

  • Create and assess design solutions based on user research data, user goals, and business requirements.

  • Produce designs that illustrateoptimal user experiences. Deliverables may include storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and vision pieces.

  • Work closely and constructively with product management, interaction designers, engineers and user experience researchers to iterate and deliverbest-in-class feature designs.

  • Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals.

  • Have solid IA and visual design skills.

Qualifications

Require d skills and professional experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in design (or related field) or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of industry experience in interaction design.

  • Demonstrated experience across information architecture design, usability, interactionand visual design for UI.

  • Ability to create highly polished design prototypes, mockups, and other communication artifacts.

  • Expertise on quickly iterating on wireframes and mockups in afast-pacedenvironment.

  • Solid understanding of workingwith or contributing tocomprehensive design systems.

  • Experience scoping, prioritizing andestimatinggoal-orienteddesign efforts accurately.

  • Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Framer.
