Robert Half Human Resources Specialist - Data Entry in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

The Human Resources Specialist will work closely with various schools and colleges, and multiple department chairs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our HR department by accurately entering and maintaining employee data, assisting with HR processes, and providing administrative support as needed. Must have excellent composition skills, communication skills, and have the ability to think quickly on their feet. Experience in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

  • Accurately enter and update employee information into HR databases and systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Process new permanent paperwork, including employment contracts, benefits enrollment forms, and other related documents.

  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation programs, including scheduling sessions and preparing materials.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing timely and helpful assistance.

  • Generate reports and analyze HR data to identify trends, track key metrics, and support decision-making.

  • Assist with payroll processing by verifying timekeeping records, calculating overtime, and ensuring accuracy of employee pay.

  • Support HR initiatives and projects, such as performance management, employee engagement surveys, and training programs.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to HR and employee data management.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred but not required.

  • Proven experience in HR administration or data entry roles, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in data entry and management software, such as HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.

  • Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and tools as needed.

  • Candidates experienced with Kronos Timekeeping System and UltiPro encouraged to apply.
