Summary: The Geotechnical Engineer will support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction through completing field assignments, preparation of detailed calculations, and performing engineering analyses.

  • Handle customer questions related to instrument selection, data analysis, troubleshooting, etc.

  • Review RFQ’s and inquiries and assist with the preparation of bids to in response to same

  • Liaise with Sales and Engineering departments to realize compelling and competitive solutions to monitoring challenges

  • Co-ordinate Field Service activities, including training of Chenega personnel

  • Co-ordinate on-site and in-house customer training programs

  • Represent Chenega at trade shows and conferences

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required

  • 5 years’ experience required

  • 2.5 years with USACE project experience required

  • PE certification required

  • Secret Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of slope stability, groundwater hydrology and pile design and pile testing

  • Understanding and use of various field instrumentation

  • Awareness of soil and concrete testing procedures

  • Familiarity with multiple aspects of geotechnical engineering

  • Ability to travel
