Chenega Professional and Technical Services is seeking aCommunication Specialist IIIto provide comprehensive support for NCEZID/OD Program Support Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Respond to congressional inquiries and requests for hearings, briefings, and information

  • Respond to letters from congressional members, federal agencies, and the public

  • Develop NCEZID documents such as one-page fact sheets, proposals, and other related


  • Interpret and translate scientific data into easily understood materials or responses to

public or congressional inquiries

  • Conduct budget formulation and execution

  • Engage in performance measurement/metrics

  • Develop partnership strategies

  • Analyze policies

  • Respond to requests from CDC OD and other federal agencies

  • Respond to requests from the Government Accountability Office (GAO)

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or scientific discipline. MPH or advanced degree in relevant discipline strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years’ related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to problem solve as well as work independently or as a member of a team

  • Demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
