Chenega Professional and Technical Services is seeking aCommunication Specialist IIIto provide comprehensive support for NCEZID/OD Program Support Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
Respond to congressional inquiries and requests for hearings, briefings, and information
Respond to letters from congressional members, federal agencies, and the public
Develop NCEZID documents such as one-page fact sheets, proposals, and other related
- Interpret and translate scientific data into easily understood materials or responses to
public or congressional inquiries
Conduct budget formulation and execution
Engage in performance measurement/metrics
Develop partnership strategies
Respond to requests from CDC OD and other federal agencies
Respond to requests from the Government Accountability Office (GAO)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or scientific discipline. MPH or advanced degree in relevant discipline strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years’ related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to problem solve as well as work independently or as a member of a team
Attention to detail
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
