Supply Chain Procurement Manager

Bring your experience and ideas and help us oversee our company’s sourcing, purchasing and supply chain activities.You will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to facilitate cost reduction initiatives that enhance the overall affordability and quality of our aircraft.This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and all organizations across Bell.

What you’ll be doing as a Supply Chain Procurement Manager

Direct procurement activity within designated commodity or IPT.

  • Lead a cross-functional team in procurement projects and initiatives, providing guidance and support.

  • Develop work assignments and objectives for team members; including establishing priorities and assigning workloads.

  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed decisions and mitigate risks.

  • Establish and communicate high level procurement objectives and strategic approach.

  • Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service.

  • Establish and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and achieve cost savings.

  • Manage vendor relationships, including performance evaluations, contract negotiations, and dispute resolution, with close coordination with legal.

  • Evaluate and improve procurement procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Strong leadership, communication, and team building skills

  • Strong ability to develop and implement business strategy in a procurement environment

  • Financial and operational expertise

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in negotiation strategies and tactics

  • Self-starter, ability to work in a team environment to achieve desired objectives

  • Experience in applying Continuous Improvement/Lean Principle Tools a plus.

  • Must be a U.S. Person.

What you need to be successful

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Legal, Science or related field.

  • Progress towards Master’s Degree and Program Management or Operations Management experience preferred.

  • 10 years of professional experience.

  • 3 years of experience at Bell with demonstrated performance and progressive levels of responsibility may be accepted in lieu of professional experience.

  • Preference for individuals with direct experience performing key procurement activities, including commodity strategy development, contract writing and administration, supplier negotiation, purchase order placement and order management.

  • Experience with systems related to purchase order transactions and contracts/subcontracts administration.

  • Technical experience with a commodity and/or significant leadership experience will be considered in lieu of procurement expertise.

  • Government contracting knowledge, with a general understanding of FAR/DFAR guidelines; aerospace experience a plus.
